Ambient Air Testing Laboratory

We offer our clients monitoring for dust levels and other pollutants in ambient air. This enables us to identify potential sources of pollution and recommend strategies to reduce air contamination.

The Ambient Air Testing Laboratory specialises in measuring dust levels and other pollutants in ambient air, including meteorological parameters, at locations such as ash storage sites, energy and industrial facilities, construction sites, mining areas, and similar environments. Based on customer requirements, we conduct short-term measurements using a mobile measuring vehicle or long-term monitoring through a network of measuring stations.

The Ambient Air Testing Laboratory is accredited by the Czech Accreditation Institute for all activities related to ambient air measurement:

  • Determination of concentrations of PM10, PM2.5, PM1.0, and SPM using the gravimetric method, along with the calculation of mass concentrations of metals based on the measured values (As, Be, Cd, Cr, Co, Cu, Fe, Hg, Mn, Ni, Pb, V, Zn)
  • Determination of SO2 concentration using automatic fluorescence analysers
  • Determination of NO, NO2, and NOx concentrations using automatic chemiluminescence analysers
  • Determination of PM10, PM2.5, PM1.0, and SPM concentrations using automatic analysers via optoradiometric methods
  • Determination of dust fallout mass by gravimetry
  • Determination of particle count by size using a laser diffraction particle counter
  • Determination of gaseous mercury concentration using CVAFS
  • Sampling of ambient air for the determination of dust and metal mass concentrations (As, Be, Cd, Cr, Co, Cu, Fe, Hg, Mn, Ni, Pb, V, Zn) by filtration
  • Sampling of dust fallout for the determination of dust fallout mass
