Emission Measurements Laboratory
We provide authorised emission measurements for emission-producing equipment, including QAL2 calibration tests and verification of automated emission monitoring systems, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements for the operation of air pollution sources.
The Emission Measurements Laboratory operates based on a decision by the Ministry of the Environment granting certification for emission measurements and based on accreditation by the Czech Accreditation Institute.
The laboratory provides:
- One-off measurements of particulate and gaseous pollutant concentrations
- Quality certification of automated measurement systems
- Calibration of automated emission measurement and monitoring systems (AMS) (QAL2, ČSN EN 14181)
- Verification of automated emission measurement and monitoring systems (AMS) (AST, ČSN EN 14181)
The laboratory measures and determines:
- Flow velocity and volumetric flow rate
- Gas humidity using the condensation method
- Concentration of PM, SO2, NOx, CO, CO2, NH3, O2, TOC, HCl, PCDD/PCDF, PAH, PCB, and metals
- Concentration of organic gases and vapours, total concentration of organic substances
The laboratory also performs:
- Measurement of auxiliary HVAC parameters for flowing gas
- Guarantee measurements of technological equipment and technological processes
- Adjustment of technological processes to minimise pollutants
- Measurement of the efficiency of separation equipment
- Measurement of PM10 and PM2.5 concentrations
