Fuel Testing Laboratory
The Fuel Testing Laboratory conducts analyses and evaluates the key properties of solid fuels and combustion residues. The parameters determined are essential for invoicing fuel purchases, managing the disposal of combustion residues, and assessing CO2 emissions.
The Fuel Testing Laboratory is accredited by the Czech Accreditation Institute for all activities related to the analysis of solid fuels and combustion residues:
- Determination of moisture content by gravimetry
- Determination of ash content by gravimetry
- Determination of ash and moisture content by TGA
- Determination of volatile combustible matter in solid fuels by TGA
- Determination of gross calorific value by calorimetry and net calorific value by calculation
- Determination of carbon, sulphur, and hydrogen content by NDIR spectrometry, and oxygen content by calculation
- Determination of nitrogen content by TCD
- Determination of mercury content in solid and liquid samples by atomic absorption spectrometry
- Determination of chlorine content in solid fuels and solid combustion residues by potentiometric titration using ISE
Outside the scope of accreditation, the laboratory also offers:
- Determination of ash fusibility
- Determination of fuel granulometric composition by sieving
