Project TK01020101 – Reduction of Hg, HCl and HF concentrations from large industrial sources
Implemented from 06/2018 to 12/2020
With financial support from the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic (TA CR)
The objective of the project is to gain insights into the distribution of Hg and potential capture methods in four key areas:
1) Wet desulphurisation technology – addressing the issue of Hg re-emissions
2) Research on Hg oxidation at lower flue gas temperatures (150–170°C), focusing on low-temperature Hg oxidation on catalytic layers
3) Research on reducing Hg, HCl, and HF concentrations using sorbents injected into the boiler or flue gas duct before the dust separator
4) Research on Hg distribution and capture using a combination of flue gas dust removal technologies
