Stress testing of coatings on internal structures of oil transformers

The company specialises in producing steel strips and sheets for the electrical engineering applications. Before expanding its product range to include coated steel components for the internal assemblies of oil transformers, it was necessary to independently test the compatibility of various coatings with electrical insulating fluids. Stress tests were conducted in the ORGREZ oil testing laboratory, and based on the laboratory’s recommendations, the customer chose the appropriate coating or adjusted the properties of the existing coatings to meet the specified criteria.
