Transformer Oil Filtration and Regeneration

The electrical insulating fluids used in transformers undergo various degradation processes over time, leading to a loss of their original properties, which are essential for proper electrical insulation and cooling. We offer filtration and regeneration services that allow these fluids to be recycled rather than replaced.

Oil regeneration is a comprehensive process designed to restore all properties and parameters of transformer oil to the quality of new oil. Our services include both consulting and complete execution of transformer maintenance, oil filtration, and regeneration as a turnkey solution.

Comprehensive transformer maintenance includes:

  • Inspection of oil transformers, with or without removing active parts from the tank
  • Sealing transformers by installing a transformer conservator airbag
  • Cleaning and surface treatment of transformers
  • Comprehensive measurement of transformer insulation systems, including laboratory testing of oil
  • Inspection of distribution transformers in transformer vaults
  • Inspection and repair of control systems for power transformers
  • Filtration and regeneration of electrical insulating fluids, along with cleaning the active parts of the transformer
  • Scrapping of transformers of all capacities and voltage levels

Oil regeneration using our equipment and technology enables:

  • Removal of solid impurities, reduction of water content, increased dielectric strength, and degassing
  • Cleaning of the transformer’s active parts from residues of degraded oil
  • Reduction of tg ........................................ < 0.5% at 90 °C
  • Reduction of acid number ..................... to < 0.01 mg KOH/g
  • Increase of surface tension .................. to > 50 mN/m
  • Re-inhibition of oil ............................... to 0.30 ± 0.05%

We perform regeneration:

  • Directly in the transformer at the customer’s site
  • In inspection towers or halls after repairs or inspections
  • At the customer’s oil management facility (from tank to tank)
